Gomez’s style embodies a ‘hybrid surreal-steampunk’ aesthetic marked by an extensive usage of universal semiotics and contemporary allegories to science, socioeconomic, sustainability issues, but more importantly_‘The Future of Automation’ and where it might be taking us. Gomez drafts his narratives into worlds made of highly elaborated machine-like entanglements, where all events and outcomes are intricately linked.
As an artist, he has been acknowledged as one of the Top 25th Public Vote during Artprize 2013. Has participated on several exhibitions around the world including Spain, UK, New York, Michigan, Berlin, among others. He’s been published on ‘Sketching from the Imagination’, Hidden Art treasure Book II, Juxtapox Mag, Hi-Fructose Mag, My Modern Metropolis Mag, ‘Fantastic Illustration II by Designers- Books and others. His work is owned by Mayor Art Collectors around the world. Gomez is also a member of The Drawing Center and The Americas Society from New York.
As a designer, he has worked for over a decade as a Creative Designer & Illustrator for some of the top Design Agencies in New York and Chicago; His portfolio includes work created for re-known brands and corporations such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, Limited brands, Dove, Godiva, Gucci, Unilever, Esthee Lauder among many others. His work has been published on Print Magazine, How Magazine, Packaging Of The World, Pie books from Japan, among others.
Born in Santo Domingo, DR. Graduated from Altos de Chavon in 1999 and received his BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York.
