How much is the hunt for a photo worth? Photographer Dan Isaac Wallin leaves civilisation behind, walks across deserts and travel to remote islands. He lugs along large format cameras and Polaroid film. Stay out for weeks, meditate and observe the surrounding nature. Despite the eons of time and all hardships, it’s worth it. John Atkinson Grimshaw – Silence

John Atkinson Grimshaw (6 September 1836 – 13 October 1893) was an English Victorian-era artist, a “remarkable and imaginative painter” known for his city night-scenes and landscapes. His early paintings were signed “JAG”, “J. A. Grimshaw”, or “John Atkinson Grimshaw”, though he finally settled on “Atkinson Grimshaw”. (more…)
